If I could leave this review 10 times I would!!! I am SO HAPPY we trusted Hannah and Carol at SMAC for our wedding!! Hannah and Carol accommodated our rescheduled wedding (thank you, Cov*d) beautifully — the food was PHENOMENAL, the atmosphere was ASTOUNDING, and the service was a million stars!!! Our bar tenders were the best, everyone was amazing. 5 stars, all across the board!!

I’d like to mention that my then-fiancé and I originally knew only one thing we didn’t want for our wedding: to have it at a barn!! At the time (2020ish) barns were what everyone was doing so we wanted something different, but we decided to check it out as a favor to a friend who knew the wedding planner, Hannah! Gotta share the story though: If you’ve ever driven up, the outside is a little dusty and barn-esque (as it should be!) and we thought we’d be in and out, quickly. But we stepped inside and literally felt the energy change. In the BEST way! It was like we could feel all the love of every artist who’s ever walked through those doors and played a set. We just looked at each other and knew we’d found something special. THEN we met Hannah, the event planner, and we fell in love with her. 10 minutes into that walk through we just knew it was the venue! We’d seen probably a dozen up to that point. And when the day finally came, it was the best night of my life! We actually had ended up doing a mini elopement somewhere else the year before but had a full on reception at SMAC and while I loved our elopement weekend with an intimate group with immediate friends and family, because of Carol and her team at SMAC, I truly felt like I got to have the WEDDING of my dreams. That reception and dinner was the most magical night!

If you’re considering getting married at SMAC and value excellent food, atmosphere and service, you will not be disappointed!!!

One last thing — we spoke with a handful of vendors once we knew we were considering SMAC and every single vendor told us that SMAC was the venue in southern Maine with the best food they’ve ever had. They weren’t wrong!

What a great experience! We were lucky enough to enjoy a nice concert and a scrumptious meal in the local community. This venue is unique and worth visiting. They have a great collection of performers and the offer a wonderful menu for dinner should you make a reservation. Community or couple seating available. Show up early for good seating however there really aren’t any bad seats in the house. Service was fast, food delicious and the local as well as travelers conversation were very pleasant. A great experience should you get the opportunity.

Such a heavenly spot for good music, food and fun. Was our first time here and will definitely make it a regular stop on our way up the coast! We saw Dar Williams and not only is she a talented song writer and performer but is also quite a presence on stage; her stories behind the song are so nice to hear and she’s also quite hilarious in her retelling of the stories.

Great dinner & show. Barnstar was great. Yup, dinner prices are a bit on high side & worth every dollar. Service was top notch,portions are generous. Can’t wait to go back.

Our fist visit to SMAC after hearing friends rave about it. We went on NYE and had a fabulous time. The entry barn was charming, perfectly lit and decorated. Once in the venue we were seated in the balcony for dinner and the show. The food was fantastic (actually there was too much food) The show by Shemekia Copeland was outstanding. The sound level was ideal and due to the closeness of the tables, met some really nice people. From above the main seating area did look a bit crowded. I would definitely recommend going to a show here.

Beautiful setting, featuring talented performers, and delicious food.
I have been here many times for music and comedy shows. It is always a time to remember. The kitchen does a fantastic job on every course.

A little off the beaten path, but worth the drive. We went for the Christmas craft event which had dozens of high quality local products.
The people exhibiting or working there were exceptionally friendly.
We will definitely plan a return visit for one of the many live music performances.
